General Glazing & Repairs
The below are some general questions we commonly get asked.
How long do your windows and doors typically last?
Our uPVC and aluminium window and door units are built to last for at least 25 years. Timber installations can last even longer—up to 50 years with proper maintenance and care.
What is the usual timeframe from placing an order to having my windows installed?
Timeframes can vary based on the product and property. On average, uPVC and aluminium products are installed within 6–8 weeks. Timber windows may take up to 10–12 weeks due to bespoke manufacturing. Each project varies, so do get in touch.
Can I order windows or doors on a supply-only basis?
In certain circumstances, yes. We offer a supply-only option, particularly useful for tradespeople or self-managed projects. This comes with a 1-year product guarantee. Please note that the customer is responsible for certification or compliance documentation if not using our installation services.
What are your payment terms?
Our standard payment structure includes a 25% deposit to secure the order, a 50% interim payment before installation, and the final 25% upon completion.
What colours and finishes are available?
We offer a broad palette of colours and finishes to match modern, traditional, and heritage-style properties. Options include woodgrain effects, smooth matte finishes, dual colours (different inside/outside), and custom RAL colours upon request.
What is the Window Energy Rating (BER), and how energy efficient are your products?
The BER is a measure of how energy efficient a window is. Our double and triple glazing products typically meet or exceed an A rating, with U-values as low as 1.2 W/m²K—or even lower for some of our premium glass options.
Are your windows soundproof?
Our standard double-glazing already offers solid sound insulation, but for properties in busy or high-noise areas, we offer advanced acoustic glazing or LandVac vacuum-insulated glass for superior noise reduction.
Do you offer emergency glazing repairs?
Yes. We operate a 24/7 emergency glazing and boarding-up service. Whether it’s damage from break-ins, storms, or accidental impact, we’re just a phone call away.

What is LandVac, and why is CozyGlaze an official reseller?
LandVac is a revolutionary vacuum-insulated glass (VIG) product that combines the clarity of single-pane glass with the thermal and acoustic performance of top-tier triple glazing. As an official reseller in Ireland, CozyGlaze is proud to bring this world-leading technology to residential and commercial customers alike.
How energy efficient is LandVac glass?
LandVac windows have an industry-leading U-value of just 0.4 W/m²K, making them among the most energy-efficient glazing options globally. They provide unmatched insulation and help cut heating costs dramatically.
How soundproof is LandVac glass?
Thanks to its vacuum layer, LandVac provides up to 39 dB of sound insulation, making it ideal for homes near busy roads, airports, or urban areas. It significantly reduces noise pollution while maintaining a slim profile.
Can LandVac be installed in traditional frames or period properties?
Yes. One of LandVac’s key advantages is its slim profile—comparable to standard single glazing—making it ideal for heritage and conservation properties where aesthetics and planning regulations are important.
Is LandVac more expensive than regular triple glazing?
While the initial investment is higher, the long-term energy savings, unmatched performance, and durability make it a smart investment for homeowners looking for premium efficiency and comfort.
Do I need special maintenance for LandVac windows?
Not at all. LandVac windows are maintenance-free, just like regular sealed units. They’re built to last, with no internal condensation and long-term clarity and performance.
